Kelly\'s Diary in Iwaizumi(No.8) ケリーの岩泉通信_b0206037_18271247.jpg

Hello! Kelly here.
Somehow, three weeks have passed since I came to Iwaizumi. Today is my last day of working at the Iwaizumi Michi no Eki.
From next week, I will visit elementary and junior high schools in Iwaizumi.
I am looking forward to the visits. However, I have really enjoyed my time at the Michi no Eki and learned many new things.
Today, I would like to reflect.

At the Michi no Eki, I had many chances to talk with my co-workers and customers.
Therefore, while I learned about the Michi no Eki, I also learned about Iwaizumi little
by little. It was very nice.
Besides the Michi no Eki, I visited a meat processing facility, Ryuusendo Water`s factory, other Michi no Ekis, and various places in Iwaizumi. Iwaizumi has many factories and products made here. To be honest, I did not expect this. I think it is amazing.

Every day at the Michi no Eki, I saw farmers bring their produce. The meat, fruits, and vegetables in the Iwaizumi Michi no Eki come from local farms. Grandmas also brought their handmade goods every day. It was amazing. In America, this kind of thing is a little rare, but I think it is very good.

By the way, the day before yesterday, a customer came to the register and said, ”For some reason, they were talking about a foreigner working at the Michi no Eki on the radio.” I was very happy.
In addition to that, though my Japanese is not fluent and might be hard to read, thinking about Iwaizumi and writing is very fun. Thank you for reading my Diary in Iwaizumi.

Today is my last day at the Michi no Eki, but I plan on to continue this blog until I leave Iwaizumi, so please look forward to it.~
